Relative Location

Hilton helped organise a local community arts project aimed at promoting local talent and engaging people to develop a contemporary arts project along side 'Culturegen' Stafford Boroughs Arts.

 

 

Artfest - Birmingham

Hilton was selected as an exhibitor at Artsfest in Birmingham City Centre. The "No Such Thing" collective founded with fellow artist Dean Kelland exhibited in the city centre at the Birmingham Council Houses.

Square Peg Collective exhibition

"Square Peg" collective secured a year long exhibit with midlands firm Acoustica. Promoting contemporary works within the highstreet and utilising business premises.

 

 

 

The Tempest Pulsars 47 Tucanae

Working with recordings made available by University of Manchester's Jodrell Bank Observatory, Hilton's 'Pulsars 47 Tucanae' combines the radio emissions from actual pulsar stars with the film 'Forbidden Planet' as a series of individual audio hand made books.

Blank Media Collective launch party Manchester

"Blank Media" collective held a promotional launch and fund raising event at Fuel Bar, Withington, Manchester, 8 March 2007. Among live performances from local bands and artists, Hilton auctioned a number of limited edition artists t-shirts "this keeps coming back to me".

The Custard Factory in the heart of Birmingham, showcased the opening exhibition by the "No Such Thing" collective, which promotes artists based within the Midlands. The show was co-curated and organised by Hilton and fellow artist Dean Kelland.

Hilton's work was published in an 8 page spread in Dilenttante in 2006. The 152 page book combined poetry, philospohy, fashion and fine art spanning languages and boundaries.
